Dr. Wayne Neale

Co-Founder, GrowthX Academy

Wayne is an entrepreneur… an observer, a creator, a builder, educator and designer of new opportunities. Wayne is a veteran of the software industry working at both large and small growth companies. Through a series of startup renaissance roles Wayne has performed executive sales, marketing, product management, business development and user experience. Wayne is the Co-Founder of GrowthX Academy and is helping create the education company of the future. 

Wayne was previously founder and CEO of Kydak, an experience design innovation consultancy working on product and service design for startups and fortune 50 companies alike. Wayne is co-leader of IxDA Phoenix and founder of Phoenix UX. He has held executive positions at SAP, ShoppingScout, Khimetrics (acquired by SAP), ITax Group (acquired by First Advantage), and Kodak and was the co-founder of iZoom and Fairway Productions. Dr. Neale holds a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Virginia Tech, masters in human factors from CSUN and bachelors in cognitive psychology from CSULB.

Wayne has an enduring curiosity in how the world is designed and unrelenting passion to make it a better place to live, work, learn and play.

Founding Partner, GrowthX and Co-Founder, GrowthX Academy

Andrew is a Founding Partner at GrowthX where he helps lead the fund, identify investment opportunities, and craft and guide the overall vision keeping everyone pointed towards a common North Star. His varied background as founder, funder, operator, advisor and technology attorney in the United States and Asia Pacific allows him to help entrepreneurs and companies from inception through exit.

Before co-founding GrowthX, Andrew led the market development and launch of a subscription-based audience-as-a-service business at BrightTALK, led the market development and launch of a subscription-based media business for Thomson Reuters in APAC and the UAE, served as Publisher of Reuters News (after co-founding the financial news business for Thomson that led to the acquisition of Reuters), and served as early technology counsel for Salesforce, DoubleClick, and Guidespark.

Andrew is a Kauffman Fellow, Board Member of Venture for America, and a mentor at Galvanize, Alchemist Accelerator, and Matter.

Founding Partner GrowthX, Co-Founder GrowthX Academy,

An investor in more than 150 start-ups, Will has made it his life’s mission to help other entrepreneurs succeed in developing successful companies and achieving their goals. His skill and experience in connecting people have allowed him to build a global network of investors and entrepreneurs, all of whom he considers members of his extended family.

Before co-founding GrowthX and GrowthX Academy, Will raised and led the Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate, a seed-stage MicroVC. Will was also a selling-founder of, the largest internet dating site and one of the top 100 sites of the 90s, acquired by Ticketmaster for $47 million dollars and rebranded as

Will began his career working with N.B. Hunt, who sent him on a series of amazing adventures across Russia and Nicaragua, including physically carrying $250K of gold from Managua, Nicaragua to Miami, FL every other week. This increased Will’s risk tolerance to the point that starting an Internet company seemed rational.

Sean Sheppard

Sean is a serial entrepreneur who has successfully grown dozens of early-stage companies across a wide variety of products and markets.

At GrowthX Academy, Sean is focusing on sharing his expertise in monitoring and adjusting revenue pipelines to help startups improve the probability and predictability of sales and marketing success.

Before co-founding GrowthX, Sean built and ran the sales and business development track at Tradecraft, a flipped-classroom trade school where people develop the knowledge, skills and training to succeed in traction roles at startups. Sean also co-founded the Professional Sales College to change the way the world values the sales profession through graduating the best educated and trained sales professionals in the world.
