GrowthX Academy is located at Galvanize in the center of downtown San Francisco, just a few blocks south of Market Street, a major thoroughfare that runs east to west, connecting up with the city’s many famous neighborhoods.

Judging by patent applications per capita, SF is the third most inventive city in the world and is first in college degrees per square mile. Known for its gentle, temperate weather and amazing natural beauty, San Francisco should be taken in on foot. It’s ranked the second most walkable city in the U.S., and comes in second most fit (after Portland).

The Academy is within walking distance of the city’s cultural center, which includes the newly expanded San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, along with a number of other museums, several multiplexes, theaters, art galleries and shopping centers.
The city is world-famous for being the home of alternative thinkers and risk-takers. In fact, GrowthX Academy is within walking distance of the Ferry Building, Chinatown and North Beach, the neighborhood made famous by the 1950s Beatnik movement.
We are a 15-minute walk from the University of California, San Francisco complex, which plays a crucial role in the booming local biotech industry.
Amazing hiking can be found throughout the area, including within the city itself, for example at Lands End, which has ruins from the city’s rich history along with truly breathtaking vistas.
The city is known for its world-class restaurants, at least a dozen of which are within a ten-block radius of GrowthX. Wine country (Napa and Sonoma) and Muir woods make for exceptional weekend excursions.
The Academy sits three blocks away from the Transbay Terminal and just a few blocks from Muni and BART, transportation hubs that connect San Francisco to the entire Bay Area.
