Mike is currently the Executive Director of PuenteLabs, a San Francisco based organization whose mission is to find, support, and invest in the very best entrepreneurs from Latin American and help them grow their businesses internationally.
Mike advises and invests in early stage technology companies in the US and Latin America in a variety of sectors including Digital Media (Ustream acquired by IBM), (Dotspotter acquired by CBSi), Search (IndexTank acquired by LinkedIn), Online Advertising (JW Player, PulpoMedia acquired by Entravision), Social Gaming (Atakama Labs acquired by ngMoco), Online Advertising (BlinkBooking acquired by Groupon, SocialWire acquired by Rakuten), Security and Hardware (AlphaCard, Violin Memory IPO:VMEM) Financial Platforms (Mosaic, Abacus, Parabola, Hennessey Capital acquired by Hitachi Capital) and Logistics (CargoX in Brazil, Cornershop in Mexico/Chile).
Mike has been an investor in Venture Capital funds beginning in 1997 with DCM, Highland Capital Partners, 1011 Ventures, and Wasabi Partners.
Earlier in his career, Mike worked in Enterprise Sales for Inktomi, Pegasystems, and Oracle Corporation selling to Fortune 500 companies in the Retail, Telecommunications, Healthcare, and Technology sectors. Technology solutions included E-commerce, Search, Internet, Social Gaming, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Applications, Call Center, and Database Software (RDBMS).
Mike has an International MBA from the University of Washington and a BA from the University of Michigan. Mike has studied and worked in Spain, Mexico, and Chile.
